The vehicles of the SdKfz 234 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug 234) series were armoured vehicles characterised by their 8-wheel drive. These vehicles were used by the Wehrmacht from 1942 on both the Western and Russian fronts.
There were different variants fitted with different weapons and dedicated to different uses.
The kit features the SdKfz 234/2 variant, also known as the "Puma", which featured a 360° rotating turret with a 5 cm L/60 high velocity gun, allowing it to be used as a reconnaissance vehicle that could engage similar vehicles and even gun positions. A total of only about 100 Puma units were built.
