Resin 3D printed 1/72 scale kit, printed in high quality. Requires assembly and painting.
The Jeep is perhaps the most famous vehicle of WW2.
In 1941 the American army defined the need for a 4-wheel drive vehicle for transporting soldiers on the battle front over any terrain, in fact the word jeep comes from the acronym GP (General Purpose).
The first company to present a prototype was the small Pennsylvania company Bantam. From this prototype, Willys-Overlands Motors and Ford Motor Company presented their prototypes, which in the end were chosen for production due to the larger size of the companies and their greater production capacity.
The final model is the one we know; with headlights integrated into the grille, flat bonnet, seating for five soldiers, no doors or roof, but with a fabric soft top.
It was used by all Allied armies on all battle fronts: in the forests and plains of Europe, in the deserts of Africa and in the jungles of the Pacific.
In addition to transporting troops, it was also used as a field ambulance, weapons platform, command and communications vehicle, etc.
This kit features a version that incorporates a general cargo trailer with stowage.
