The FD3S, the third-generation RX-7, debuted in October 1991, embodying continuous evolution to fulfill its mission as the world's only rotary-powered sports car. Loved for 11 years, the FD3S kept running strong until production ceased in August 2002 due to new emission regulations. Before its discontinuation, the final special edition, RX-7 Spirit R, was released in April 2002.
