- The DB4 was a sportscar produced by Aston Martin beginning in 1958. In the following year of 1959, and lighter and tuned up version known as the DB4 GT was introduced. Between the years of 1960 and 1963, 19 special versions were produced known as the DB4 GTZ - these were tuned to a even higher performance, and had bodies designed by Zagato-based designer Ercole Spada.The DB4 GTZ was used in various races, including the 1961 24 hours of Le Mans. This kit is a 1/12 scale kit based on car #2 and car #3 from the 1961 Le Mans - the DB4 GTZ entries from the Essex Racing Team.
