The RQ-7B Shadow is a multi-role UAV widely used for reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition, and battle damage assessment. Known for its reliability and versatility, the RQ-7B provides up to 16 hour of continuous coverage, with a range of up to 125 kilometres and a maximum altitude of 15,000 feet MSL. Launched via a trailer-mounted catapult and retrieved using arresting gear, the Shadow features a gimbal-mounted, liquid nitrogen-cooled EO/IR camera that transmits real-time video to ground forces.
