The xM158, a seven-tube, reloadable rocket launcher, was designed to fire the iconic 2.75-inch Mk 4 Folding-Fin Aerial Rocket (FFAR), also known as ''Mighty Mouse.'' Originally developed in the late 1940s as an air-to-air weapon, the FFAR evolved into an air-to-ground system, especially effective in helicopter gunships like the UH-1C during the Vietnam War era.
