The Fairey Firefly F.I was a British carrier-based fighter and reconnaissance aircraft developed for the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm during World War II. Designed as a two-seat aircraft for a pilot and observer, the Firefly combined fighter capabilities with reconnaissance and strike roles.

The Firefly F.I was powered by the Rolls-Royce Griffon engine and armed with four 20 mm Hispano cannons mounted in the wings. The aircraft could also carry bombs and rockets for attacks against ground and naval targets.

The Firefly entered operational service in 1944 and participated in operations in both the European and Pacific theatres. One of its notable early combat operations was the attack on the German battleship Tirpitz in July 1944. Fireflies later saw extensive service with the British Pacific Fleet against Japanese forces.

The Fairey Firefly remained in service after World War II, with later variants serving during the Korean War and with several foreign naval air forces.
