1/72 Pre WWII Lockheed Vega 5 "Lady Lindy"

This kit is relatively simple. While the lack of locating features adds a bit of difficulty to the major joins, there isn' much detail to protect when cleaning up the seams. This is a feature of the real airplane, not a lack of accuracy in the kit. Speaking of accuracy, well done to Special Hobby for clear documentation of which details pertain to Amelia's Atlantic flight and which ones were added later in the airplane's career. Note that the vertical tail is a resin piece that needs the appropriate glue and extra care when sanding to avoid dust. The only inaccuracy I noted was the raised window frames, which can be easily removed. Overall, it went together quickly and makes a quite striking addition to the model shelf.
