Aoshima 069837 1/700 WWII IJN Aircraft Carrier Taiyo (Renewed Edition)

Aoshima's Waterline series has been reborn with enhanced precision! The fittings have been redesigned, and moulds with sliding mechanisms ensure the intricate detail of 1/700 scale models is captured beautifully.
The "Taiyo," initially completed as Nippon Yusen's passenger ship "Kasuga Maru," was later drafted and repurposed into the first auxiliary aircraft carrier. Although it didn't shine in battles, it played a key role in troop and aircraft transport, supporting the frontlines.
This kit transforms the aircraft carrier "Taiyo" into a 1/700 scale plastic model kit. With simple, focused parts and newly added 25mm triple-mounted machine guns, it's both easy to assemble and exceptionally detailed. It's a fine example of bringing precision and craftsmanship into a model!
Major upgrades focus on fittings like triple-mounted machine guns. *Includes Japanese naval aircraft.
Updated fittings made from new moulds: *Type 96 25mm triple-mounted machine guns.

** This model kit is supplied in unassembled and unpainted plastic components. Please note that glue, model paints, and other basic modelling tools are required and sold separately.
