Another BIG super heavy from Takom. While the design is speculative, based on those previous to the final Maus prototype, it is nonetheless, an interesting What-If kit. Construction looks to be simple and straight forward. No interior is provided, and the parts count is low. About the only drawback to the kit are the tracks.The Vk 168 design required 4 sets of tracks.The kit supplies 8 one piece sections. Each belt is made of 2 sections, that are pinned together, to make one continuous track. The problem is the overall length. It is too short to fit the running gear. But since you cant see the top run of the tracks anyway, hidden behind the side armour,...it shouldnt be an issue. Looking forward to starting this one soon, because it does compliment my Super Heavy OI. Did I mention it's BIG?
