Fresh from success with the RA272, Honda's engineers began a new to design a car capable of meeting these demanding new standards. The result was the RA273, unveiled at the 1966 Italian Grand Prix. Featuring a lightweight aluminum monocoque chassis and a 90-degree V12 engine, it embodied Honda's commitment to advanced engineering and performance. Driven by Richie Ginther and John Surtees, the RA273 achieved promising results in its debut season, with Ginther securing a commendable fourth place overall, marking another proud milestone in Honda's Formula One legacy.
