Going into WWII, the American Army was the smallest and least prepared of any of the belligerent power's armed forces. A massive surge in recruitment, conscription, munitions production, and training beginning before America's official entry into the war and redoubling after Pearl Harbor led to the American Army becoming one of the largest and best supplied forces in the world. However, they were still the least experienced force as well. Bloody reversals at Kasserine Pass and the Battle of the Bulge taught fresh US soldiers valuable, painful lessons. The kit features 48 figures.
