McDonnell Douglas iconic Cold War, twin-engine, all-weather, long-range supersonic jet fighter and fighter-bomber, second production variant for the US Navy and Marines. Kit has engraved surface features, seamless fuselage spine, fully appointed tandem cockpits (with MB ejection seats), intake trunks with compressor faces, optional seated aircrew (x2), exhaust pipes with afterburner detail and single-piece nozzles, separately molded flaperons and rudder, optional position speed brakes, fully represented wheel wells and undercarriage, optional extended boarding step, ample filigree exterior fittings and antennae, standing Pilot (with helmet under arm) and segmented optional position canopy. Also includes external stores - pylons, TERs, MERs, missile rails, 600 gallon centerline drop tank, 370 gallon wing tanks (x2), AIM-7D/E Sparrows (x4), AIM-9B Sidewinders (x4) and Mk 82 bombs (x12). Molded in white, gray, black and transparent plastic.
