This kit reproduces the ship in her 1945 final configuration during Operation Ten-Go.

Kit Features:
- Hull sides and upper wooden deck are moulded as an integrated assembly
- Late-war sealed portholes are reproduced with raised details
- Wooden deck features raised moulded detail
- Hull and lower hull parts are moulded in grey
- Bridge and funnel are assembled from left and right halves
- One-piece lower hull with separate propellers and rudder
- Main gun barrels and canvas covers are moulded together, with elevation fixed at the designated position
- Includes only 2 secondary gun turrets, reflecting the reduced late-war armament
- Unshielded triple 25mm anti-aircraft guns include both standard and highly detailed versions for optional use
- Shielded triple 25mm guns can be assembled at either high elevation or stowed position
- Dedicated parts reproduce additional anti-aircraft gun positions on the main turret roofs and stern
- Includes 4 seaplanes moulded in grey: 2 Type 0 observation seaplanes and 2 Type 0 three-seat reconnaissance seaplanes
- Includes 3 decal sheets with naval ensigns, national flags, aircraft markings, draught markings, bow chrysanthemum crest, stern ship names, and aviation deck walkway markings
- Includes 2 brass photo-etched sheets with ladders, accommodation ladders, direction finder, signal light supports, bridge window frames, Type 21 radar, and other fine details
