Trumpeter 01513 1/35 LAV-25 SLEP (Service Life Extension Program)

This is a plastic model kit, which comes unassembled and unpainted. So glue, model paints and other basic modelling tools are additionally required.

The LAV-25 had a two-person, power-operated turret armed with an M242 25mm automatic cannon called the Chain Gun, and two 7.62mm M240 machine guns. While there is room in the rear hull compartment of the LAV-25 for up to six infantrymen, the Marines eventually decided to use the vehicle as a reconnaissance asset instead of an armored personnel carrier. The Marine Corps was supplied with 422 LAV-25s between 1983 and 1987.
